couple quick questions

i think i have 2 quick problems

first: when starting compiz Adept Notifier opens in a window instead of staying on the taskbar, and sits on the top of my screen. just curious if there is a way to fix that without having to close it every time?

second: i have my main desktop set for 2 desktops, and when i open compiz i have 8 now. i don't mind the more desktops, but when i try to send programs from one desktop to another they don't stay there. they continuously go back to the first desktop. is there any knowledge of these as bugs? or am i just unlucky?

Which version of compiz do you use? You can find out with "compiz --version".

The first problem could be a bug. The second problem could be related to a misconfiguration. Do you have two desktops with 4 viewports on each desktop (i.e. 2 cubes)? Or do you have 8 desktops (i.e. 8 cubes, 32 viewports)?

as far as i can tell i only have 1 cube, when i click ctrl+alt and drag i only see the one cube. with 4 sides obviously...
but the bigger problem is trying to send programs to different desktops, its like they stay in the first desktop, and won't go to any other desktops.
and the one way i can find to move windows to other desktops is to drag them there, but then on the bottom bar where the desktops are it shows me that the program is in the first dektop, and if i switch to the first desktop it shows me whats really supposed to be on there.

this is really confusing how to describe this...sorry

but i really love the way this looks and feels, and would love to stick with it
