compiz-manager didn't change

Postby Matias » Fri Nov 10, 2006 4:18 pm

Hi all, I have upgraded my compiz-manager package two time this week but I haven't seen any change nor expanded functionality. Note that I'm running ubuntu edgy and I'm using gandalfn repository and synaptic doesn't gives me an error nor output.

Thanks in advance.

PD: the version displayed in compiz-manager / about is 0.9.10

Thanks gandalfn for your quick response, but I'm talking about the pages where you can configure the animation plugin and that misc page I've seen in your blog. Does it means (the fact that this pages isn't showed) that I have not those plugins?

I'm a little confussed

Thanks again.

I dont know about compiz-manager, but animation etc are all part of a seperate package called compiz-extra.

More info here

You can still always configure compiz through gconf-editor for testing and debugging :)

No problemo matias :)

to show this pages you need have edgy-dev repos in your source list (don't forget dot at end of line) like this:
Code: Select all
deb http://gandalfn.club.fr/ubuntu edgy-dev .

and install compiz-freedesktop-extra package and gnome-compiz-manager-extra for animation and miscellaenous page ;) like this :
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install compiz-freedesktop compiz-freedesktop-gnome compiz-freedesktop-extra gnome-compiz-manager gnome-compiz-manager-extra

Man, you are great, That solved my confusiness.

By the way, talking about compiz-manager and stuff. Is there some kind of translations team, or something. I can handle with things as they are now, but things would be easier if they came in my first language.

I'm saying that I can do that job, of course, at lest with spanish :).
