Oh really? Very interesting...
What exactly are you expecting as an answer on such a post?

Btw: I have no problems with screenlets using compiz. No offense meant, really no offense meant  !!

Please try to remove ~/.config/Screenlets and ~/.screenlets directories and unload Beryl's widget plugin. If that doesn't help try running screenletsd/screenlets-tray (whatever you normally use) in a terminal and post the output.

Well, the problem is that I can get very upset when people say they don't like this or don't like that, without giving any reason. Sorry, it sounds just so, hmm I don't know... And what's even more worrying is the fact, that without compiz he wouldn't have beryl. So saying I hate compiz and want to stay clear of it, gives me a bad feeling. Anyway, my guess was that it's a problem with beryl's widget-plugin and that's why my help was:
Btw: I have no problems with screenlets using compiz.

So it's logical to ask in beryl forums for a solution. But maybe you're right and it's a problem with wrong screenlets-settings.

@coz: I apology for being so rude. I've reacted a little bit to sensible and I really hope you found a solution to your problem. Sorry...
